Additive Manufacturing Strategies 2020 to feature metal AM dedicated track

The Additive Manufacturing Strategies (AMS) conference and exhibition returns for its third edition this year, taking place at the Seaport World Trade Center, Boston, Massachusetts, USA, from February 11–12, 2020. AMS 2020 will feature over sixty expert speakers, with a special focus this year being on end-user experiences, as well as the vendor, materials company and regulatory perspectives. 

Organised by SmarTech Analysis and 3DPrint.com, the two-day event features two conference tracks which include the established ‘Medicine and Dentistry’ track covering the medical/dental AM industry. The second track, which is a new addition for the conference, is ‘Metals’ which covers metal Additive Manufacturing specifically.

The AMS 2020 tracks will cover the following topics:

Track one: Medical and Dental

  • An improved understanding of regulatory requirements affecting Additive Manufacturing in medicine and dentistry and how these factors vary internationally
  • Understanding how Additive Manufacturing is disrupting supply chains and transforming procedures at hospitals, labs, medical and dental offices
  • The latest on how Additive Manufacturing is enabling new procedures in medicine and dentistry
  • An update on the rapidly evolving area of additively manufactured medical and dental materials including biomaterials

Track two: Metals

  • A roadmap for the latest trend in metal Additive Manufacturing: compact metal printers
  • Understanding of the role of hybrid printers in metal AM
  • The latest on Additive Manufacturing of new kinds of metals including copper, refractory materials, etc
  • Case studies for metal AM from the aerospace, automotive, oil and gas and other industry sectors
  • An update on the role of post-processing in metals-based Additive Manufacturing
  • The latest metals service bureau trends
