Additive Manufacturing Conference of China taking place in Hangzhou

The Additive Manufacturing Conference of China (AMCC) 2018 is set to run from July 26–28, 2018 at Hangzhou International Expo Center, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. The event features a technical conference with an exhibition floor covering 20,000 m2, expected to showcase more than 300 exhibitors. In addition, the organisers report that representative from over 600 companies in key application fields will attend the conference, including delegates from the aerospace, shipping, nuclear and medical industries.

Guided by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, AMCC is organised by Xiaoshan District People’s Government of Hangzhou Municipality and the Additive Manufacturing Alliance of China, in cooperation with CCID Conference & Exhibition Co. Ltd. Sponsors of the event include the China Center for Information Industry Development, Economic and Information Commission of Zhejiang Province, and People’s Government of Hangzhou Municipality.

The 2017 event saw approximately 19,000 visitors across its three days, of whom the organisers state 38% were employed at management level, 30% in R&D, 15% in sales, 8% in purchasing and 7% in marketing. The 2018 exhibition will showcase the latest technologies and products available both in China and internationally, including core equipment and components, special materials, technologies and applications.

During the exhibition, the AMCC organising committee has invited government officials and leading experts from both industry and academia to conduct in-depth discussions and presentations on topics such as industrial policy, innovative technologies, application trends and business models for AM.

Forum topics will include:

  • Innovative applications for Additive Manufacturing in aerospace
  • Innovative applications for Additive Manufacturing in the mould industry
  • Biological Additive Manufacturing and innovative medical services
  • Innovative applications for Additive Manufacturing in the automotive industry
