Abstract deadline draws near for AMPM2018 and POWDERMET2018

September 27, 2017

The deadline for the submission of abstracts for inclusion in the technical programme at AMPM2018 is November 3, 2017. Organised by the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF), AMPM2018, Additive Manufacturing with Powder Metallurgy, will take place June 17-20, 2018, in San Antonio, Texas, USA.

The three-day conference will feature a number of talks from worldwide industry experts presenting the latest technological developments in the field. AMPM’s organisers are seeking perspectives from:

  • End users
  • Toll providers
  • Metal powder producers
  • Equipment manufacturers
  • And R&D from academia and consortia

On the topics of:

  • Materials
  • Applications
  • Technical barriers
  • Process economics
  • And new developments in AM

All abstracts must be submitted to AMPM’s submissions portal by November 3, 2017. The submission of full manuscripts is optional; however, all submitted manuscripts will be considered for the Best AMPM2018 Paper Award. Submitters are advised to contact Debby Stab ([email protected]) for further information.

The deadline for the submission of abstracts for inclusion in the technical programme at POWDERMET2018, co-located with AMPM2018, is also November 3, 2017. Both oral and poster presentations are requested for inclusion in the technical programme and all submissions should be original and unpublished work addressing recent advances in the full spectrum of Powder Metallurgy and materials technologies.

Organised by the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF), POWDERMET2018, the International Conference on Powder Metallurgy and Particulate Materials, will take place June 17-20, 2018, in San Antonio, Texas, USA.

Categories for papers include:

  • Design and Modelling of PM Materials, Components and Processes
  • Particulate Production
  • General Compaction and Forming Processes
  • Powder Injection Moulding (Metals & Ceramics)
  • Pre-Sintering and Sintering
  • Secondary Operations
  • Materials
  • Refractory Metals, Carbides & Ceramics
  • Advanced Particulate Materials and Processes
  • Material Properties
  • Test and Evaluation
  • Applications
  • Management Issues

In addition to the regular technical sessions and posters, several special interest programs are being organised. Presentations in these programmes are intended for invited presentations only. The planned Special Interest Program topics are:

  • Battery Technology: Future PM Applications
  • Tungsten & Refractory Metals
  • Machinability
  • Advancements for High-Density Components

POWDERMET2018 will include an international exhibition focused on the Powder Metallurgy, Powder Injection Moulding, particulate materials and metal Additive Manufacturing industries.
