Sciaky Inc, Chicago, Illinois, USA, will showcase its industry-leading Electron Beam Additive Manufacturing (EBAM®) technology at the 52nd International Paris Air Show. Visitors to Sciaky’s exhibit will have the opportunity to learn what is new with the company’s technology, which is used by companies including Airbus, Lockheed Martin Space Systems and Gulfstream Aerospace.

Sciaky’s EBAM systems can produce parts ranging from 203 mm (8 in) to 5.79 m (19 ft) in length. According to Sciaky, EBAM is also the fastest deposition process in the metal Additive Manufacturing market, with gross deposition rates ranging from 3.18-9.07 kg (7-20 lbs) of metal per hour. Popular raw materials, which come in the form of wire feedstock, include titanium, tungsten, tantalum, Inconel, nickel alloys, niobium and various stainless steels.

Sciaky also offers IRISS® – the Interlayer Real-time Imaging and Sensing System – which it states is the only real-time adaptive control system in the metal AM market that can sense and digitally self-adjust metal deposition with precision and repeatability. This closed-loop control system helps Sciaky’s EBAM process to deliver consistent geometry, mechanical properties, microstructure and metal chemistry across multiple parts.

The Paris Air Show will take place June 19-25 at the Exhibition Center of Le Bourget, located north of Paris, France. Attendees can view Sciaky’s technology in Hall 6, at Stand C46.
