SimpaTec’s annual Moldex3D user meeting for 2017 was held from March 27-28 in Würzburg, Germany. The event featured a number of practical presentations from Moldex3D users on areas including High-Pressure Foam Injection Moulding with core-back operation, viscosity of fast curing epoxy resins during filling of fibre reinforced RTM-parts and Injection Moulding simulation in future designs of highly loaded aircraft structural components.

In a presentation entitled ‘What’s New in R15’,  SimpaTec introduced Studio, the new Moldex3D platform, which allows simulations and pre-post operations to now be completed in one application, and the new BLM Designer 3.0, through which the capabilities and options of non-meshing technology have been extended, optimised and intensively modified.

In the exhibition area, Mold-Masters, STM Stahl, Lasso, Trexel, Allod, gom and Meusburger showcased their product lines, giving users the opportunity to inform themselves about new products and development trends.

The next German-speaking Moldex3D user meeting will take place in Spring 2018.
