Arcam expands in USA
Arcam AB, based in Mölndal, Sweden, has announced it will establish a new facility for sales and service in Woburn, Massachusetts, just outside Boston, USA. Arcam Cad to Metal Inc. is headed by recently appointed President Saeed Pirooz.
Arcam has been present in the US since 2003 and Arcam Cad to Metal Inc. was founded in 2005. The new office in Woburn will serve the needs of Arcam’s rapidly growing EBM business in North America. Significant clients in the aerospace industry include Pratt & Whitney, General Electric, CalRam and in the medical industry Medical Modeling.
“With the infrastructure and a talented team, we are well positioned to support our customers locally and I look forward to continued growth of our business in North America,” stated Pirooz.
As the worlds’ largest market for the aerospace and implant industries, the US market is very important for Arcam. The new 5500 ft2 facility in Woburn will provide sales, support, spare parts and consumables and house an application and training centre to serve clients in North America.
