Birmingham’s School of Jewellery to hold Additive Manufacturing open day

The UK’s Birmingham School of Jewellery has announced that it is to hold an Additive Manufacturing open day on August 20th, 2015. The event is part of the School of Jewellery’s 125th Birthday Future Technology Event, and will be open between 09.30 and 17.30.

Visitors can discover an all-encompassing array of the latest digital metal Additive Manufacturing technologies. Experts and novices alike are encouraged to attend, from CAD and 3D printing veterans, to those who are simply trying to stay on top of the latest development in the 3D printing space, or whether you just want to check out the latest CAD and 3D printing trends.

The event is in particular targeted at:

  • Those associated with or part of the UK’s jewellery and giftware industries

  • Member of one of the UK’s other creative industries

  • Designers and manufacturers

  • All those who have wondered how digital technologies, such as CAD and 3D Printing, could add to or improve their working processes or business offering

There will be numerous opportunities during this day-long event to interact and network with various technology vendors, fellow users and service providers as well as seeing a stunning exhibition of 18 carat gold jewellery manufactured using the most recent Additive Manufacturing technologies.
