SLM Solutions expands management team
SLM Solutions Group AG, based in Luebeck, Germany, a leading provider of metal Additive Manufacturing technology, has announced the appointment of Andreas Frahm to its management team. Frahm, who joins the company from Luebeck-based Dräger Group, will take responsible for international sales, marketing and service activities at SLM Solutions. He was appointed Managing Director at SLM Solutions GmbH on October 1, 2014.

“With Andreas Frahm we have recruited a sales expert who deeply knows the international markets, which will prove particularly beneficial to us given SLM Solutions’ strategic orientation. Along with stronger R&D and developing our business with consumables, expanding our international sales in Asia and the USA forms the third pillar of our corporate strategy. With this expansion, we are positioning our management team on a broader base,” commented CEO of SLM Solutions Group AG, Dr Markus Rechlin.
Frahm stated, “From my experience at Dräger I am familiar with the challenges that complex high-tech products such as SLM Solutions’ laser melting systems make of sales and service. I am looking forward to making my contribution to the success of SLM Solutions, a highly innovative company based in my home region.”
SLM Solutions focuses on the development, assembly and sales of machines and integrated system solutions in the field of selective laser melting, vacuum and metal casting. SLM Solutions currently employs over 100 people in Germany and the USA. The products are used worldwide and sectors served include aerospace, energy, healthcare and automotive.
