Valimet, Inc, headquartered in Stockton, California, USA, has gained AS9100 certification as a manufacturer of aluminium alloy powders. The company stated that its powders are now produced under Quality Management Systems certified to both ISO 9001 and AS9100.

AS9100 is an internationally recognised Quality Management System standard for organisations operating in the aviation, space and defence industries. Based on ISO 9001, it incorporates additional requirements specific to these sectors.

Valimet stated that it operates in, and is continuing to expand its contribution to, the aviation, space and defence markets. The company supplies aluminium alloy powders for applications including energetics, propellants, Additive Manufacturing and thermal interface materials.

Valimet produces spherical aluminium and aluminium alloy powders using inert gas atomisation at its manufacturing facility in Stockton. Its powder production capabilities support a range of industrial applications, including Additive Manufacturing.

According to Valimet, achieving AS9100 certification required a coordinated effort across the organisation. The certification project was led by the company’s Quality Manager, Simi Dhaliwal Hundal.

Valimet stated that Hundal guided the team through the certification process and coordinated the company-wide effort required to complete the project.

The company announced the completion of its AS9100 certification on August 10, 2026.
