TAV Vacuum Furnaces, based in Caravaggio, Italy, has obtained UL (Underwriters Laboratories) certification, a rigorous safety standard for electrical and electronic systems.

In North America, compliance with these protocols is subject to stringent checks: the absence of the mark gives the local inspector (AHJ – Authority Having Jurisdiction) the power to block the installation of a system, triggering unforeseen costs and bureaucratic delays.

This achievement means that TAV has brought the certification process in-house. It is now able to design, manufacture and certify the electrical control panels for its furnaces directly at its headquarters, guaranteeing ‘plug-and-play’ products ready for immediate operation overseas.

The company states that the achievement stems from the high level of specialisation of its technical team, which has acquired the necessary expertise to manage the entire lifecycle of electrical safety.

TAV already holds ISO 14001 (environmental), ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety) and ISO 9001 (quality) standards. The company oversees the entire production chain to offer not just machinery, but complete engineering solutions, where quality is certified in each component.
