The US Air Force has selected sixty-seven companies — including those that leverage Additive Manufacturing technology — for a potential nine-year, $1 billion contract in its Rapid Sustainment Office. The contract has a five-year base and one four-year option.

The Rapid Sustainment Office is focused on selecting and deploying operation and sustainment technologies. These contract winners will compete for orders to help the Air Force prototype, test, demonstrate and scale novel technologies. The potential contract has sixteen technical focus areas, including advanced manufacturing capabilities, data and digital environment, rapid and austere maintenance, augmented and virtual reality, and aircraft battle damage repair engineering.
