3D Metalforge makes changes to its board

3D Metalforge Pte Ltd, headquartered in Singapore, has made changes to its board with the appointment of Tom Sonnen as a non-Executive Director. Following this appointment, Sri Vaidyanathan will step down from his role as Executive Director but will continue as CFO, which includes oversight of the ongoing operational efficiency programme.

Sonnen brings over twenty-five years of experience in top strategy consulting firms such as the Mitchell Madison Group and Accenture, and most recently as the Global Leader of the Procurement and Supply Chain practice at Partners in Performance (PiP). Sonnen has extensive expertise in operations improvements and cost reductions in industries such as oil and gas, energy, chemicals, FMCG and airlines.

With the appointment of Sonnen, the company retains operational and cost management expertise at the board level and both Sonnen and Vaidyanathan are said to share the common goal of driving operational efficiency outcomes for the company.

Matthew Waterhouse, 3D Metalforge Managing Director and Interim Chairman, commented, “I am delighted that Tom is joining our board. I am sure his extensive experience in operational improvement and cost reduction programs will support the continued advancements of our strategy as we look to accelerate the company’s performance.”

Waterhouse added, “The board is highly appreciative to Mr Vaidyanathan for his commitment and effort as a board member since joining us. He has been instrumental in the company achieving the significant operational improvements in recent months and we look forward to the additional efficiencies that he and Mr Sonnen will now focus and deliver on.”
