XJet Ltd, Rehovot, Israel, has announced that Harry Danford has joined its team in the newly created position of VP Sales North America. The appointment is part of a wider strategy to establish a presence in major regions, with Andy Middleton assigned in Europe and Lior Meron in the Asia Pacific.

“I see this as a fantastic opportunity to join a world class organisation of people,” stated Danford. “It’s such a positive culture and I am really looking forward to working with my XJet colleagues to drive the adoption of the technology further in North America.”

With XJet engineers already based in the US, and a growing installation base including systems representing all of XJet’s material portfolio – zirconia, alumina and stainless steel – XJet looks forward to the wider adoption of its NanoParticle Jetting (NPJ) sinter-based Additive Manufacturing technology in this key region. Leveraging ten years of Additive Manufacturing business development and sales experience in the industrial, aerospace, oil & gas, agriculture and construction, medical and automotive sectors, Danford is expected to support XJet in developing and executing strategy to significantly grow within this market.

“XJet is the only company using direct material jetting with metal and ceramic materials,” stated Dror Danai, XJet CBO. “Our ceramic technology is well established, and our long-awaited metal is commercial, so now is the time to ramp up business. I’m delighted to have Harry on board to support that process, demonstrating the incredible benefits NPJ technology is bringing to manufacturing, and I know his wealth of experience, connections and passion will be a great asset!”

According to Danai, the appointment of leaders in major regions adds another layer in establishing the team for the growth XJet pursuing, building on market and customer centric moves made recently with the promotion of Dr Ophira Melamed to Customer Success Director and bringing in Additive Manufacturing expert Gal Raz to lead business development.

“I love the essence of XJet NPJ technology and the unique capabilities that it can add to the toolbox of traditional manufacturing processes such as MIM, CIM, Investment Casting and CNC machining,” he asserted. “The ability to produce complex, detailed, high-density parts with very low shrinkage, excellent surface finish, and exceptional mechanical properties – using a powderless process – offers tremendous value and upside potential for the US manufacturing base.”
