GPAINNOVA, a provider of surface finishing solutions for metal parts headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, has released DLyte100PRO, said to be the largest and most advanced compact machine for industrial applications based on dry electropolishing. The company states that the machine overcomes current constraints on the traditional polishing machines and offers a wider range of options to automate postprocessing in industrial sectors including Additive Manufacturing.
The DLyte 100PRO is suitable to treat most common metals used by the industry such as steel, cobalt-chrome, titanium, copper-base, nickel-base and aluminium. Its advanced software logs key parameters and warnings within the process, thus assuring traceability of the processed batch. All data can be easily extracted and analysed through the ethernet and USB ports.
GPAINNOVA explains that the new hardware enhances the user experience with advanced PLC electronics and is designed with robust and reliable mechanics to work continuously in mass production. The new equipment improves the performance of the current DLyte 100 by applying asymmetric pulses and parameter concatenation. It is able to increase the electrolyte media lifespan thanks to a precise process monitoring and media conditioning system. The machine includes a safety system that has a warning light tower to indicate the machine status and antisabotage security system.
DLyte 100PRO combines a planetary movement and a vertical back-and-forth motion inside the drum containing the electrolyte media. Its advanced PLC-based electronics allow the user to apply asymmetric pulses with low and high frequency, and parameter concatenation. DLyte 100PRO’s electrolyte lifespan is based on metal extraction, as it can calculate the remaining media lifespan of the electrolyte based on material removal. Thanks to the independent conductivity and temperature probes, it offers readings to the automatic electrolyte conditioning system to optimise performance and its usable life.
