BEAMIT appoints new Group General Manager as part of growth strategy

BEAMIT SpA, Fornovo di Taro, Italy, has appointed Andrea Scanavini as its Group General Manager. Scanavini’s new position is expected to further strengthen and accelerate the company’s organisational, commercial and international group growth strategy.
Scanavini is a materials engineer specialising in innovative materials, and holds a Master’s degree in welding engineering. During his career, he is said to have played a significant role in the world of Additive Manufacturing, reportedly creating the first Italian centre of control services.
In recent years he has reportedly gained experience and results in business development and SME management. He also founded a startup – PRES-X – focused on providing solutions for lead time reduction and cost-saving in advanced manufacturing supply chains. BEAMIT explained that Scanavini will also engage his technological and management skills in the company with a combined venture; BEAMIT-PRES-X.
