XJet's NanoParticle Jetting receives Technology Innovation Award

XJet Ltd., Rehovot, Israel, has been awarded a Technology Innovation Award by global research and business consulting firm Frost & Sullivan for its NanoParticle Jetting™ (NPJ) technology for ceramic and metal Additive Manufacturing. Frost & Sullivan’s Best Practices Awards recognise companies in a range of regional and global markets for their leadership, technological innovation, customer service and strategic product development.

On selecting XJet as its Technology Innovation Award winner, Frost & Sullivan highlighted the company’s delivery of a user-friendly device with advanced programmable characteristics, remote operating systems, and highly-sealed ink cartridges on a secure platform as exemplary.

NPJ uses a liquid dispersion process said to provide unique benefits for the mechanical properties of materials and geometric properties of parts, as well as having operational and safety advantages.

XJet states that its AM systems can be used by operators with very little training, and minimise safety issues due to the absence of high energy lasers and fine metal powders. The technology is also said to be highly scalable, with the capacity to print multiple materials. Frost & Sullivan believe this has the potential to benefit the automotive, aerospace and robotics industries, where structures with a high strength-to-weight ratio or high strength-stiffness-to-weight ratio are required.

“We’re delighted to win this celebrated award,” commented Hanan Gothait, XJet CEO. “XJet now has over 100 employees, innovative, brilliant people, many of whom work within our R&D labs, which are second-to-none. Bringing a wealth of experience from Additive Manufacturing and inkjet backgrounds, coupled with huge passion for the work, this team has generated 80 patents for XJet. I’m delighted to have the team’s hard work recognised with this award from Frost & Sullivan.”
