SLM Solutions appoints new Regional Sales Manager for UK & Ireland

SLM Solutions Group AG, Lübeck, Germany, has appointed David Wilckens to Regional Sales Manager UK & Ireland, effective June 1. According to the company, this follows steady growth in the market for SLM systems, requiring a strengthened sales force in the region.

Wilckens succeeds Hendrik Schonefeld, Regional Sales Manager UK & Ireland for the past three and a half years. In March 2017, Schonefeld was appointed to Head of Sales EMEA. In a company announcement, SLM Solutions extended its thanks to Schonefeld for “the great work he has done in this position.”
Wilckens previously managed Business Development for SLM Solutions’ Aerospace segment and holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as in Business Administration. “With this change we maintain a high level of technical competence of our local contact person and we are able to put a stronger focus on our customers in the UK & Ireland,” stated the company.
SLM Solutions will continue to closely collaborate with Laser Lines Ltd. as its local sales channel partner.
