BEAMIT adds metal AM production capacity and new materials

Italy’s BEAMIT SpA, Fornovo Taro (Parma), reports that it is further expanding its Additive Manufacturing production capacity with a new EOS M400-4 system. With a build volume of 400 x 400 x 400 mm, the new system will be dedicated to the production of AlSi10Mg parts. This new machine will be installed in early June as part of an agreement that was been signed last year with EOS.
The company currently operates 22 metal AM machines, producing parts from a portfolio of 12 materials. The company already uses EOS M400-4 systems for Ti6Al4V and Hastelloy x and the addition of AlSi10Mg is, it was stated, based on customer demand.
